Subject: Experimental and numerical work on the biodegradation of molecules and macromolecules (using molecular dynamics to identify the preferential conformations between the substrate and the enzyme, and using quantum computation to study the reaction paths in the enzyme’s active site in order to understand the origin of the selectivity of the reagents and degradation products as observed experimentally).
